What Is ABA Therapy at InBloom?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy helps children build communication, social, and life skills through individualized treatment plans based on real-time behavioral data

At InBloom, our ABA services focus on naturalistic, play-based learning—designed to feel like fun, but backed by clinical science. Every activity is an opportunity to teach, adapt, and support your child’s growth.

Our goal? To increase helpful behaviors and reduce those that interfere with learning, safety, and independence.

Skills we work on.

How can Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapy help?

Expressive and Receptive Language skills are considered in the autism therapy treatment plans at InBloom.

Expressive & Receptive Language

At InBloom Autism Services, we focus on building both expressive and receptive language skills.

Expressive language includes any way your child communicates their needs, such as using words, exchanging pictures, or navigating a communication device.

Receptive language refers to how your child understands communication, like following directions, identifying objects, or responding to everyday questions.

Strengthening both skills helps children communicate more effectively at home, in school, and in the community.

Behavior Reduction at InBloom Autism Services helps by identifying unwanted or negative behaviors and reducing frequency by replacing these with positive behavior reinforecment.

Behavior Reduction

Every behavior has a purpose, and our autism therapy services are designed to replace challenging behaviors with more positive, functional skills.

Our therapists identify why a behavior occurs and then teach your child appropriate ways to communicate their needs. Using positive reinforcement, we encourage desired behaviors while naturally reducing unwanted ones.

Each treatment plan is individualized, ensuring your child’s therapy is supportive, effective, and tailored to their unique strengths.

Functional Communication skills at InBloom Autism Services include requesting access to an item or activity, asking for help or a break, and requesting attention.

Functional Communication

Functional communication gives children with autism the tools to express their wants and needs in positive, appropriate ways.

At InBloom, our therapists teach skills such as asking for help, requesting a favorite toy or snack, or signaling when they need a break.

By providing meaningful alternatives to challenging behaviors, children gain confidence and independence while strengthening their ability to connect with others.

Academic Readiness

A strong foundation for learning starts early.

Our ABA therapy programs help children develop focus, motivation, and pre-academic skills that prepare them for classroom success. From improving attention during group activities to building problem-solving abilities, we make learning fun and engaging.

With the right support, your child can thrive in school and gain the confidence to tackle new academic challenges.

Social and Group Skills

Developing social skills is an important part of preparing children for everyday life.

At our autism therapy centers, we create opportunities for children to practice essential skills like turn-taking, initiating conversations, problem-solving, and cooperative play.

By learning alongside peers in a supportive environment, children gain confidence, build friendships, and develop valuable life skills through play and shared experiences.

Toilet Training & Daily Living Skills

Daily living skills are a big step toward independence, and our therapists make the process positive and encouraging.

For toilet training, we use visual supports, engaging routines, and plenty of celebrations to make learning fun.

Beyond that, we also teach self-care skills such as washing hands, brushing teeth, and getting dressed.

These essential routines help your child feel more confident and capable in their daily life.

Caregiver Training

We believe therapy works best when families are part of the process. That’s why we provide caregiver ABA coaching directly with your child’s BCBA.

Parents and caregivers learn the same strategies used in therapy, so progress continues at home and in the community.

By working together, we create strong family connections that support your child’s growth every step of the way.

finding the right support

Is ABA Autism Therapy right for my child?

Research has shown that our minds are most impressionable between the ages of 1 and 5. For this reason, early intervention (obtaining ABA therapy for autism at an early age) is key in ensuring your child is given the tools needed to develop meaningful skills that will prepare them for the classroom and everyday life. Our Care Team takes pride in walking each family through the ABA treatment process so that parents and caregivers can feel at ease knowing that they have a strong network of support dedicated to the growth and success of their child.

In this episode of Blooming Minds, one of our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) explains the onboarding process for starting ABA therapy services with us!

What You Can Expect

What can I expect from ABA treatment?

ABA Therapy for autism is a marathon, not a sprint. Therefore, consistency is key to maximizing each child’s success.

After assessing your child’s skills and needs, our clinicians develop a treatment plan typically ranging from 20 to 40 hours of care per week in a learning center. Once therapy begins, your kiddo’s network of support balloons in size, and most critical to their development is the relationship between their biggest advocates: you and their ABA team!

What does getting started in ABA autism therapy and services look like?

Connect with our Care Team by phone or by filling out our contact form.

During our first call, we’ll ask about your child’s age, any challenging behaviors, and verifying if your family has received an official diagnosis for ASD.

Send us your insurance information & diagnostic evaluation support, and we’ll confirm that ABA therapy is covered by your insurance plan.

Your local InBloom team will send an introductory email and work with you to schedule an assessment.

Within a week of assessing your child’s skills and behaviors, the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst aka the senior clinician on your child’s care team) will review the prescribed treatment plan with you.

Once you have signed the treatment plan, our team will submit it to your insurance. It can take several weeks, but once the plan has been approved, your local team will reach out to schedule the start of your kiddo’s care!

Testimonials

My son is so happy here!

Every interaction I’ve had there with anyone at all has been a pleasant one. It’s always scary to leave my son somewhere the first time but the way he is eager to go back the next day instantly made me feel at ease. Everyone is so compassionate and I can already see slight changes in how he carries himself. I definitely recommend this Learning Center.

We are so grateful for finding InBloom! I was shocked when she made more progress in her first 3 weeks at InBloom than she did the entire time at the other facility. On top of that, the entire staff is so wonderful and communicates with us on every little step. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Board Certified Behavior Analysts

BCBA

BCBAs (Board Certified Behavior Analysts) create the treatment plan which is then put into practice by RBTs (Registered Behavior Technician), so having a transparent, open line of communication with your BCBA is vital to your kiddo’s progress. Your BCBA also facilitates Caregiver Training sessions; structured one-on-one time for discussing your kiddo’s goals and development as well as practicing skills and techniques that will allow you and your family to continue making progress at home and in the community.

Registered Behavior Technician

RBT

Your RBTs are the ones who will be working directly with your kiddo and providing the treatment as outlined by the plan set by your BCBA. RBTs provide you with feedback and updates after each session, so be sure to continually discuss any improvements or challenges with them and the BCBA so the team can have all of the necessary information when considering the ABA Therapy treatment plan that will best suit your child’s needs.

Anyone Providing Care

Caregiver

We ask that all caregivers remain engaged in their child’s course of therapy, as your involvement is crucial to their progress. Ultimately, the clinical team’s goal is to see that your child meets their goals and is able to utilize the skills in-center, at home, and across all other environments. Aside from ongoing Caregiver Training sessions, keeping in communication with your RBTs and BCBA about successes, challenges, and general observations greatly boosts the efficacy of your kiddo’s ABA Therapy.
